Learn To Set High Quality Muscle Building Goals..
If you're serious about building muscle mass, then you absolutely must learn how to set goals. When set
properly, goals serve as mile markers along the highway to muscle gain! They help to define everything that
you do (or need to do) to succeed, from your bodybuilding workouts to your muscle building nutrition plan.
IN order to have a good shot at achieving your goals, there are a few things that you need to take into
consideration before you set them in stone.
In order to build muscle faster, your goals need to be...
Specific - They address all of the minute details. Don't simply say that you want to build
muscle, write down exactly how much.
Measurable - Your goals need to be something that can be easily measured, like
weight gain, muscle gain, body fat loss etc.
Attainable - This one is important! You need to make sure that your goals are realistic and
attainable. A lot of people don't have a good idea of what can realistically achieved.
They set goals that are absolutely impossible to achieve, then wind up giving up on their muscle building
dreams due to a perceived lack of progress. Take the time to learn what is realistic and what isn't!
Relevant - The goal must be relevant and congruent (in line) with what you want to
accomplish (and maintain) in the long run.
Time-Bound - Each muscle building goal must be accompanied by a firm deadline. This will
help to hold your feet to the fire and keep you on track towards muscle building success.
Take the time to set not only big muscle gain goals, but also smaller goals that are easier to achieve.
This will help to motivate you as you work towards achieving your major goal.
Build Muscle Faster By Using Visualization
Techniques...
After you've set your major goal and a few smaller milestone goals, it's time to begin using visualization
techniques to boost your success. Take each goal and write out a sentence that states your goal using following
criteria...
1.) It must be in the present tense as if you've already achieved your goal.
2.) It needs to involve emotion in some way. You need to be able to see it clearly, feel it, hear what it sounds
like and touch it. This is what makes your bodybuilding goals real!
3.) It needs to be believable. Take the time to make it real. Something that you can believe. If you don't
believe it, your subconscious mind will never believe it either!
Visualize you bodybuilding goals to build muscle
faster...
After you have a written statement for each of your muscle gain goals that inspires emotion of some sort,
is believable and written in the present tense, it's time to visualize your statement.
Take your written statements and go to a quiet place where you won't be interrupted, and read them aloud. Don't
simply read them from the list, say them with feeling...put some passion into it!
The first few times you do this, it will feel awkward and strange. That's ok do it anyway! This process
actually begins to "program" your mind into believing that your muscle gain goal is attainable.
While you are reading your goals aloud, visualize yourself as already having achieved your goal. Pay attention
to what it feels like, what you look like etc. This helps add a sense of realism to the vision.
If you do this on a regular basis, your subconscious mind will begin to accept the vision / goals as
reality. Before you know it, it will become your reality!
This technique works best if you commit to doing it a few times each day. One time upon waking in the morning
and once before you go to bed each night.
You can build muscle faster than you ever thought possible by simply taking the time to set quality goals and
making a commitment to visualize your goals on a daily basis.
