Nick Andrade’s Body Transformation Log – Day 8
Objective: To Burn Fat Build Muscle And Transform My Body In 12 Weeks
Today I really felt like I kicked things up a notch in the gym. I got in hit it as hard as I could and got out…quickly. I’m not sure exactly what it is about me and the gym, but even though I absolutely love weight lifting and fitness stuff, I really feel a certain sense of satisfaction getting out of the gym quickly. Everyone always stares at me like “that’s all you’re going to do…that’s it?” and then I walk out smiling. I love it. None of these people even have a clue what the hell their doing anyway. It’s going to be nice to see the look on their faces when I start to make some noticeable progress. towards my goals.
Anyway, enough with the rant. Below is my workout for today. The program switches things up a bit here and jumps into a completely different style of weight training. To be honest I hate it and love it at the same time. It’s no fun because you can’t see your strength progression as easily, but I know that it’s definitely there. The Muscle Mass Advantage workouts are really keeping my body on it’s toes.
Muscle Building Workout #1 Monday – Legs
Warm-Up:
Squat: 1 x 10, 1 x 8
Work Sets: (rest interval 1.5 minutes)
Squat: 4 sets x 5 reps
Warm-Up:
Stiff Legged Deadlift: 1 x10, 1 x 8
Work Sets: (rest interval 1.5 minutes)
Stiff Legged Deadlift: 2 sets x 5 reps
Leg Curls: 2 sets x 5 reps
I was able to perform 4 sets of 5 reps for squats with 315 lbs and 2 sets of 10 reps with 225 lbs for stiff legged deadlift. I also completed 2 sets of leg curls with the weight setting of 12 on the leg curl machine.
As far as my diet’s concerned, I’ve been able to stick it out with no problems at all. The cheat day over the weekend really seemed to help me out. Listed below is what I ate today…
- 1 cup of cottage cheese
- 1 cup of cottage cheese
- 2 cups of cooked ground beef
- 2 cups of cooked ground beef
- 1 can of chicken breast meat
- 5 eggs and 2 slices of ham
