Tuesday’s Muscle Building Workout

Nick Andrade’s Body Transformation Log – Day 9
Objective: To Burn Fat Gain Muscle And Transform My Body In 12 Weeks

Nothing too exciting happened today, but it really did feel nice to hit the gym and get relieve some stress from my day to day life. I don’t know why, but a short intense weightlifting workout always sets my mind at ease and makes me feel better about everything.  it’s a weird phenomenon, I’m not sure why it has this effect on me, but it definitely works wonders.

As far as the workouts are going the shift form high repetition brackets to the lower 5 rep sets is a nice change of pace.  It’s going to allow me to see where I really am with my strength. Anytime I can get a chance to prove to myself that I’ve gotten stronger, it gives me a huge confidence boost, so hopefully as the week progresses I’ll be able to realize some new strength gains.

Muscle Building Workout #2 Tuesday – Chest And Back

Warm-Up:

Incline Press: 1 x 10, 1 x 8
Work Sets: (rest interval 1.5 minutes)
Incline Press: 2 sets x 5 reps
Dumbbell Bench Press: 2 sets x 5 reps
Warm-Up:
Dumbbell Rows: 1 x10, 1 x 8
Work Sets: (rest interval 1.5 minutes)
Dumbbell Rows: 2 sets x 5 reps
Lat Pull-Downs: 2 sets x 5 reps

I was able to perform 2 sets of 5 reps of Incline Press with 205 lbs and 2 sets of 5 reps of dumbbell bench press with 80 lb dumbbells.  For dumbbell rows, I was able to complete 2 sets of 5 reps with 90 lb dumbbells and for lat pull-downs, I did 2 sets of 5 reps with the weight stack set to #18.

Not a whole lot has changed in my diet. Here’s what I ate today…

  • 1 cup of cottage cheese
  • 1 cup of cottage cheese
  • 3 cups of green tea
  • 2 cups of cooked ground beef
  • 1 cup of sauteed spinach
  • 2 cups of cooked ground beef
  • 1 cup of sauteed spinach
  • 1 can of chicken breast meat
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of walnuts
