Nick Andrade’s Body Transformation Log – Day 13
Objective: To Burn Fat Build Muscle And Transform My Body In 12 Weeks

Well, the weekends finally here and I made it through another very productive week of training and sticking to my anabolic diet outline.  I really feel like things are going well and I’m actually excited to jump on a scale and grab my calipers – I think I made some excellent progress towards my initial goals. I’m still not completely convinced that I’m doing everything that I need to do to hit my targets, but I really feel like I’ll be able to get it all sorted out within the next few weeks as my body begins to adjust to all of the changes that I’ve thrown at it over the past 2 weeks.

As far as my anabolic bodybuilder diet is going, I’m really starting to lean out and strip off body fat, but I’m starting to get concerned that I’m restricting my calories too much.  While my energy levels feel pretty good day to day, I can definitely notice a drop off in my ability to stay focused during the intense Muscle Mass Advantage phase II workouts.  What I’ve experienced in the past is that once I restrict my calorie level too low, I almost immediately stop burning body fat and building any lean muscle mass.

If you continue to restrict your calorie levels too low, you can really screw up your metabolism to the point that it actually starts to work against you. Sometimes it can take up to 2 weeks to get everything in your body to level back out. In a lot of ways, I really feel that it’s better to adjust your calorie intake target just a bit above what you actually calculate – especially if your goal is to build muscle mass fast! Because I really want to avoid any sort of trouble, I’m going to bump up my daily calorie intake by 250 calories, just to be safe.

Just in case you forgot what my initial goals were ( I even forgot what they actually were) I thought I’d go ahead and list them again…

  1. To gain 25lbs of lean body mass
  2. To lower my body fat level from 23.2% to 8%
  3. To increase the size of my arms by 2 inches
  4. To increase the size of my legs by 3 inches
  5. To get killer six pack abs
  6. To really focus on building up the muscle in my back

Here Are All of My Week 2 Measurements

  • Percent Body Fat – 22.1% (an overall improvement of 2.4%)
  • Current Lean Body Mass – 156.0 lbs (an overall improvement of +4.7 lbs)
  • Current Fat Weight – 41.0 lbs (an overall improvement of -4.7 lbs)

Just like last weeks progress report, there’s really nothing to write home about.  The results are pretty good, but nowhere near where they need to be in order to catch my goals at the end of 12 weeks.  I’m really thinking that week 3 is where I’m going to make up a lot of ground and start racing towards my goals.

Well, that’s all for my body transformation week 2 progress report. Tomorrows post is going to be a bit more informational than my regular training log posts, so make sure to check back.

Nick
