setting and achieving muscle gain goals. While goals all by themselves will not magically cause you to build big
muscles, it is a well documented fact (and something the my personal experiences can attest to), that the habit of
constantly setting goals if practiced regularly will cause you to stretch the bound of what you ever thought
possible for yourself. Which in this case will allow you to gain more muscle mass than you ever thought
possible!
What Is A Good Muscle Gain Goal?
All solid muscle gain goals, should be set by following a few basic goal setting rules in order to be of any
help in your muscle gain program.

Specific - There is no use trying to achieve
something that is not clearly defined. Your muscle gain goals should be as specific as possible if you
actually intend to achieve them.
Goals like: I want to gain lean muscle mass this summer will never be achieved. If you are serious about

Quality goals tend to look like: I will gain 5 lbs of lean body mass in 8 weeks, without increasing my body fat

Measurable - You should be able to

most important aspects of a quality muscle gain goal is whether it is actually attainable. If you get too
anxious to achieve success, you will run the risk of burning yourself out completely. If you are new to the
muscle building world, use common sense as your guide. It is unreasonable to think that you can gain 20 lbs of

Your goals also need to be relevant to what
you're actually trying to accomplish. There is no sense setting goals that are off track and not directly in
relation to your end goal.

bound - It's critical that you attach a hard deadline for achieving your goals. Nothing personal
here...it's just human nature, but procrastination and loose time frames will turn even the best goals into

undivided attention to achieving your goal by the time frame that you set. The mere act of setting a time bound
goal, will force you to subconsciously get the momentum moving towards achieving your muscle gain goal.
