Somewhere in this range you will be able to find the protein quantity that works best for you.

The next step in learning how to build muscle quickly is to piece together an effective weight lifting workout strategy. Regardless of how hard you train, if you don’t plan out your workouts properly, you won’t be able to gain any muscle mass if you do it right. I like to teach people to keep their workouts simple, so they don’t get overwhelmed when planning things out.

The main thing to keep in mind here is that you will need to hit the gym for anywhere from 3 – 5 times each week in order to perform some type of free weight workout. Keep your workouts limited to 45 minutes of really intense and focused effort. In order to comply with the 45 minute maximum workout time, I typically like to perform no more than 5 work sets for each body part, and I only train two body parts per workout if I can.

Another really important part of the muscle building process is to make sure and allow each of your muscle groups enough time to rest and recover between workouts. I usually find that training each body part 1 time each week is enough to stimulate new muscle growth while still allowing for adequate rest and recovery between workouts.
